The Burnout franchise is one that's been dormant for far too long. With EA moving Criterion onto other projects, it felt that Burnout had fallen out of favour.
With the last release in the series being Burnout Crash, a game which felt more like an afterthought, back in 2011, it's been 7 years since anything has been heard surrounding what was once a staple of the video game landscape.
That all ended today when EA announced that Burnout Paradise Remastered will hit Playstation 4 and Xbox One on the 16th March 2018.
The new version will feature all downloadable content that released for the original version, as well as a 4K/60fps update for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
The game will be available both in physical and digital versions for the reasonable price of $39.99.
