For many, Microsoft's reveal of original Xbox backwards compatibility was an amazing one. Whilst it was definitely a strategy of quality over quantity for the initial batch of games, Microsoft has detailed the second phase of the roll out.
It is safe to say that they have really pushed the boat out on this roll out, with quality still being a focus, but also a much improved level of quantity.
Via their second episode of Inside Xbox, Microsoft announced 19 more games being added to the range, bringing the total to a much more respectable 32.
The games announced are:
Original Xbox games releasing on April 17:
Blinx: The Time Sweeper
Conker: Live & Reloaded
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Hunter: The Reckoning
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Original Xbox games releasing on April 26:
Destroy All Humans!
Full Spectrum Warrior
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront II
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Star Wars Jedi Starfighter
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Star Wars Republic Commando
With the inclusion of Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jade Empire, Knights of the Old Republic II, and Republic Commando, Microsoft is now starting to build some real momentum with this Xbox feature.
As previously, you can insert your original Xbox DVD in the Xbox One drive to unlock the game, or purchase it digitally from the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft also announced that for the first time, and available immediately, Sonic Generations will be playable on the Xbox One as well as receiving enhancements to the game if played on the Xbox One X. Other Xbox 360 games receiving the enhancement treatment on the Xbox One X are Portal 2, Gears of War 2, Darksiders, Red Dead Redemption, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
