Red Dead Redemption 2 - Trailer 3

All Rockstar Games releases are hotly anticipated, but for many, the opportunity to dive back into the world of Red Dead Redemption cannot come soon enough.

Today, Rockstar took the chance to stoke the fires further with the reveal of their 3rd trailer for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2.

The game will take place in America during 1899, at the end of the outlaw era in the wild west. As lawmen hunt down the remaining outlaws, those who don't surrender are killed.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals, and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

Story in Rockstar properties is always vital, however, after 3 trailers, it would have been a great opportunity to show more in the way of game play footage to allow a brief glimpse at what players can expect.

Hype is still growing for the game and it is seemingly obvious that game play will be the order of the day at E3 this year, but something to tide us over until then would have been welcome.

The game is without doubt, looking stunning with highly detailed character and horse animations, and environments that look set to truly make you feel like you're in the wild west.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on the 26th October 2018 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
